- Clean soot from the inner walls of a brick fireplace. Don a respirator, rubber gloves, and protective eyewear, and spray the bricks with Easy-Off Oven Cleaner (making sure the room is well ventilated). Wait fifteen minutes, and wash off with soapy water.
- Clean an aged cast-iron skillet or pot. Spray the item with Easy-Off Oven Cleaner in a well-ventilated area. Let sit for ten minutes, then rinse clean. Wash the outside only with soapy water, rinse, and dry. Re-season with Crisco All-Vegetable Shortening.
- Clean badly stained Pyrex or Corningware dishes. Wearing rubber gloves, spray the dishes with Easy-Off Oven Cleaner, place inside a garbage bag, close it securely with a twist tie, and let stand overnight. Open the bag outdoors, keeping your face away from the fumes. Rinse the dishes with a garden hose, then wash thoroughly.
- Remove paint from metal lawn furniture or wooden picture frame. Spray with Easy-Off Oven Cleaner, let sit for ten to fifteen minutes, then spray with the highest pressure from the nozzle of a garden hose.
- Clean a silver soleplate of an iron encrusted with burnt fabric or other gunk. Cover the plastic body of the iron with a protective layer of Reynolds Cut-Rite Wax Paper, and, in a well-ventilated area, spray Easy-Off Oven Cleaner on the bottom of the cool, unplugged iron. Let sit for ten minutes, rinse thoroughly with water, and clean out the steam holes with damp Q-Tip Cotton Swabs. Before ironing any clothes, set the iron on warm with the steam setting on, and iron an old towel to make sure you’ve cleaned all the oven cleaner off the soleplate.
- Remove stubborn decals from the floor of a bathtub. Spray the decals with Easy-Off Oven Cleaner (making sure the room is well ventilated), and let sit for ten minutes, rinse thoroughly, and peel off the stickers.
- Clean a melted plastic bag off a glass stovetop. Make sure the room is well-ventilated and spray the plastic with Easy-Off Oven Cleaner. Let sit for fifteen minutes, and then, wearing protective gloves, carefully scrape off the plastic with a single-edge razor blade. Wash with soapy water, rinse clean, and dry.
- Clean dirty spark plugs. Soak the tips of the spark plugs in Easy-Off Oven Cleaner for two hours in a well-ventilated area, rinse clean, and dry.
- Clean a curling iron encrusted with mousse, gel, or other hair products. When the curling iron is completely cool, spray with Easy-Off Oven Cleaner, let sit, then wipe clean.
- Clean really tough grease stains or mineral deposits from a bathtub. Put on a respirator, protective eyewear, and rubber gloves, and spray Easy-Off Oven Cleaner over the spots on your tub and let set for thirty minutes, making sure the room is well ventilated. Scrub gently and rinse clean with warm water.
- Clean stubborn smoke stains from glass fireplace doors. wearing a respirator, gloves, and protective eyewear, spray Easy-Off Oven Cleaner on the doors, let sit for ten minutes, and then wipe clean. Rinse the doors well with a solution made from equal parts Heinz White Vinegar and water, and buff dry.
- Clean oil and grease stains on concrete driveways. Spray one or two applications of Easy-Off Oven Cleaner, let sit for a few minutes, then rinse with the highest pressure from the nozzle of a garden hose.
- Remove lettering painted on the side of a truck. Spray the letters with Easy-Off Oven Cleaner, let sit for ten to fifteen minutes, and then spray with the highest pressure from the nozzle of a garden hose.
- Clean a barbecue grill rack. Working outdoors in a well-ventilated area, place the barbecue grill rack in a Glad Trash Bag, spray the rack with Easy-Off Oven Cleaner, seal the bag closed, and let it sit outside overnight. The next morning, carefully remove the grill from the bag, hose down the grill thoroughly, and carefully dispose of the bag.
- Clean the glass window on a barbecue grill. Spray the inside of the glass window with Easy-Off Oven Cleaner, let sit for five minutes, and scrub clean with soapy water, and rinse well.
- Clean stains from stainless steel. Apply Easy-Off Oven Cleaner, let sit for a few minutes, then rinse well.
- Clean whitewall tires. Wet the tire with water, spray with Easy-Off Oven Cleaner (while wearing rubber gloves and protective eyewear), scrub with a brush for thirty seconds, and rinse clean with a hose. (Do not get Easy-Off on aluminum hubcaps.)
- Clean sap from saw blades. Wearing rubber gloves and eye protection, spray the blade with Easy-Off Oven Cleaner in a well ventilated area and let set for twenty minutes. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
- Remove black burn marks from pots and pans. Heat pot or pan, spray with Easy-Off Oven Cleaner, let sit for thirty minutes, then rinse and scour clean.
- Clean a stubborn stain from a window. Spray the glass with Easy-Off Oven Cleaner. Wait several minutes, then wipe clean.
