- Clean tarnish from brass. Cover the brass object with Heinz Ketchup, let sit for ten minutes, and then rinse clean. The acids from the tomatoes and the acetic acid from the vinegar clean brass.
• Remove tarnish from the bottom of a copper pot or pan. Cover the copper with Heinz Ketchup. Let it sit for ten minutes. Then rinse off the pot or pan under running water. The acids from the tomatoes and vinegar in the ketchup gently devour the tarnish.
• Clean tarnish from silverware and silver jewelry. Squirt some Heinz Ketchup on a paper towel and rub it gently into the tarnish. For stubborn tarnish, coat the silver item with ketchup, wait fifteen minutes, then rub the item with a soft cloth, and rinse clean. (Do not soak silver in ketchup too long; the acids can ruin the finish.)
• Clean pennies. Pour a thick coat of Heinz Ketchup over tarnished pennies, let sit for an hour, and then wash off. The acids from the tomatoes and vinegar in the ketchup clean the tarnish so the copper shines like new.
• Add red highlights to hair. Pour Heinz Ketchup in your hair, work it in well, wait ten minutes, and then rinse clean to achieve natural-looking red highlights.
• Prevent chlorine from dying blond hair green. Massage Heinz Ketchup through your hair, let it dry, and then shampoo. The ketchup eliminates the chlorine, cleanses the hair, and leaves hair feeling soft and silky.
• Make an excellent barbecue sauce. Mix Coca-Cola with Heinz Ketchup. Brush the mixture on chicken or ribs while grilling.
• Finger paint. In a pinch, you can use Heinz Ketchup as red fingerpaint.
• Make a glue dispenser. Fill a clean, empty Heinz Ketchup plastic squeeze bottle with glue. Be sure to identify the bottle with an accurate label to prevent any sticky surprises.
